PhoeniX3

This will be best understood by comic books fans and those who have seen X2. This is my vision of a cinematic Phoenix for the inevitable X3.

In designing this, I was attempting to create a sort of medievally-inspired mix of leather, silk, and chainmail, just to give Phoenix a costume that would make sense in the movie world of the X-Men and still draw inspiration from the original comic book costume. I drew the face with Famke Janssen in mind, of course, and I based eyes of the the Phoenix in Ultimate X-Men; that eerie black with gold reflections.

The flames were made with brush tools, smudges, and wave filters.
