Ta-daaaaa! After monkeying around in Illustrator and Photoshop for over a month, the Grid is live. It wasn't always easy trying to visually bridge the gap between two movies made nearly 30 years apart, but damn if it was wasn't a good bit of fun! Hardest parts early onwere probably Sark's armor and trying to do justice to Olivia's face (it's like trying to make art of something that's already art - you just can't mess it up!); later the challenge came in rendering the 1982 Recognizers and the Carrier - funny how the 2010 models went so much more smoothly.
I know it's near impossible to see at this resolution, but the graphic at the bottom corner is the face of the MCP with the text "This Function Approved by Master Control™ - END OF LINE." I just thought that'd be kinda funny.
And yes, Daft Punk's soundtrack was played MANY times whilst putting this together.

I've been quietly stalking your page awing at the little teasers for this you were putting up [ngl you were the saving grace of the Sark tag on here, haha] and while I knew the end result was going to be holy balls-tier amazing from those, I COULD NOT GRASP THE TRUE FORM OH GOD OH MAN AKJDA;SKSHDHFGH
